A full day with conversations, workshops, and presentations related to OERs. Topics covered will include Creative Commons, finding, creating, and using OERs, and working with the Open Education Network. Participants will choose an open text from the Open Textbook Library, and, between August and September, write a review for that text. We will meet a second time in September to discuss the reviews.

UW-Superior participants can expect to be compensated $100 for the initial meeting, and $75 for the completion of the review and second meeting.

• Learn techniques for finding, developing, implementing and using Open Educational Resources in a scalable and sustainable way
• Experience evaluating existing OERs in your discipline, which may be used in upcoming classes, and contributing to the Open Textbook Library
• Connect with other on-campus instructors who are interested in OER and begin to create an OER Network across campus.
